Show Pig Compass is operated by Vaught Family Farm, LLC. This policy explains the types of information the service uses and how that information supports family show-pig project management.
Information you provide
When an adult creates an account or a family uses Show Pig Compass, the service may store account information such as name and email address, family membership and role information, pig and project records, weights, feed records, health and withdrawal records, show information, tasks, expenses and income, notes, and files or photos that the family chooses to upload.
Family accounts and youth exhibitors
Direct account creation is intended for adults age 18 or older. Youth exhibitors ages 13–17 participate through an adult-managed family invitation. Family members can see information shared within the family account according to the access provided by the service.
Payments
Web purchases may be processed by Stripe. Show Pig Compass does not store full payment-card numbers. Payment processors may collect and process information needed to complete a transaction, prevent fraud, and manage subscriptions or refunds. Future purchases made inside native iPhone or Android apps may be processed by Apple or Google under their own payment and privacy terms.
Cloud services
Show Pig Compass uses service providers to host the application, authenticate users, store family records, deliver the website, and process payments. Information may be processed by those providers only as needed to operate the service.
How information is used
Information is used to provide and secure the service, sync family records, calculate project information, support account access, process purchases, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and improve reliability and features.
Sharing
Show Pig Compass does not sell family project records to advertisers. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the service, when a user intentionally shares information with members of the same family account, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the service and its users.
Data retention and deletion
Family records are retained while needed to provide the service and as reasonably necessary for security, legal, payment, and support purposes. Account deletion tools and support requests can be used to request deletion of eligible account information. Some transaction or compliance records may need to be retained when required by law.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect account information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so families should use strong passwords and protect access to their email and devices.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Show Pig Compass develops. The updated date on this page will change when material revisions are made.
